Daniel Williams was an American drummer, musician, and co-founder of the metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada. Performing with the group from 2005 to 2016, he contributed to albums like Dear Love: A Beautiful Discord, Plagues, With Roots Above and Branches Below, Dead Throne, and 8:18, as well as the EPs Zombie and Space. Known for his aggressive, precise drumming influenced by Travis Barker, Dave Lombardo, and Joey Jordison, he favored a minimalist setup with high-set cymbals. After leaving the band, Williams built a successful tech career at GoPro and accepted a role at Apple in 2025. He died in a plane crash in San Diego on May 22, 2025.
