Jesse Ventura, born James George Janos, is an American politician, Vietnam veteran, actor, and retired professional wrestler. Rising to fame as WWF’s flamboyant “The Body,” he later pursued acting with films like Predator and The Running Man. Ventura served as mayor of Brooklyn Park (1991–95) before becoming Minnesota’s governor (1999–2003) in a Reform Party upset, enacting tax rebates, property tax reforms, and light rail advocacy. Inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004, he remains a media figure, author, and outspoken independent voice in politics.
